I have finished and hung the quilts I started at the Heirloom Creations’ January 2010 Sewing Retreat! I am so excited to finally have something on the walls in Kate’s room!

First is the “Holy Snowballs!” fat quarter quilt with decorative silhouette appliques. This pattern is a FREE pattern available from Heirloom Creations with the purchase of 15 fat quarters. How fun is this! These bright colors are just what I needed as we get ready for Spring. (Call Heirloom Creations at 605-332-4435 to order 15 fat quarters and receive this free pattern).

The quilt has been quilted with custom designs by local designer, Peg, of Apricot Moon Designs made for the QBOT quilting frame. There is a flower quilted in every block!

Second, is a wall hanging I custom designed to have a couple pockets for toys to hang above Kate’s changing table. We seem to need “distractions” when changing diapers and now I can keep a couple toys always at our finger tips. This has moved the small toys off her changing area to their very own spot.

Silhouette letters were printed off the computer with a size 350+ font size, reversed onto fusible web, cut out and fused in place.
