March is National Craft Month! How are you going to celebrate?

Will you sign up for a class? Will you try something off one of your 100+ Pinterest boards? Maybe for starters, you will get your sewing machine serviced! We hope that you will think of one think that will kick-start your creative juices.

What Class is Sara Currently Attending?

I am currently enrolled in “Quilting With Ruler on a Home Machine” by Amy Johnson in preparation of my upcoming Sewtopia Sewing Club lecture on this same topic. Even teachers need to be taught by someone! I decided to go directly to the source and take the fast track approach to learning.

What is the Craftsy Fast Track?

This is one reason I love Craftsy classes. There is no fluff. Fluff is all the dead space or wasted time often found in YouTube videos. You spend 10 minutes watching a video for 1 minute of actual information. Craftsy works 4-6 months on a class before it is filmed, paring down all the fluff so all that is left is a very concentrated form of the topic. This doesn’t just happen. It takes many hours of planning before the first camera is ever turned on.

If you want to see what it takes to film a Craftsy class, you can watch my mini-documentary I made when I taught my first Craftsy class.

I hope you will join me in the month of March and take your first Craftsy class. Oh, the places we will go!
