Custom Quilting on an Embroidery Machine

November 16 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Branch out to CUSTOM quilting via your own embroidery machine with Amelie Scott’s newest book and design collection “Custom Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine”. In this class you will learn how to evaluate a quilt pattern and select the best quilting design for that quilt. Learn to create templates to layout on the quilt to audition the embroidered quilting. Ready to take your edge-to-edge embroidered quilting to the next level? These updated embroidery tips and hooping techniques will help you speed through quilting your next quilt on your own embroidery machine. We also will be including tips for quilting with OESD’s quilting designs as shown in the picture above. “Custom Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine” book with design CD or pre-approved OESD design collection required

Fee: $40

Supply List:

Project not larger than a lap quilt size.

If you have an embroidery machine that will resize designs, we can use that to tweak the size.
If you have any question about which embroidery designs to used, we would be happy to help you prior to class.
Back and batting at least 5″ larger on all sides of the quilt top.
150 mm x 240 mm embroidery hoop or larger.
Magnetic hoops on the Pfaff and Viking would be the large and also sew a 240 x 150 mm.  However they only fit on Topaz 50 on up, and Pfaff Creative 3.0, the Bernina large oval hoop works for the OESD designs.  Magnetic hoops do not work with pacemakers!
