Got Batting Scraps?

We Carry
by Sara Snuggerud in Sewing Tips

We all do it…keep the scraps! Even batting scraps. “Well, you never know when you might only need a small piece.”

…but then they are start to pile up. So you stuff them into a bag. Then the bag is so full you go looking for another bag…

Solution found! Heat Press Batting Together (yes, that is the actual name) works to solve the batting scrap hording. Just lay two straight edges of batting together on the ironing board, center the tape over it and press.  It is that simple!  This tape is so lightweight and thin that you will not know it is there.

This fusible tape is 1 1/2″ wide by 10 yards and can be used on any type of batting. Take a look at the video demo below and see how easy it is to use!

Wondering what to do with even smaller left over cotton batting scraps?

Cut them into a stack of 3″ squares and keep them in a handy place. They can be used to dust off your machine, wipe off excess oil when performing machine maintenance, or even clean off fabric fuzzies from your cutting and ironing boards!
