We recently hosted four amazing AccuQuilt events with YouTube star Pam Heller. Along with great AccuQuilt tips, tricks and hacks, our most important take away was the CORRECT way to store AccuQuilt dies.

Up to now we did not realize that storing the AccuQuilt dies incorrectly could damage the blades.

This is NOT the correct way to store AccuQuilt dies.

Dies that are stored laying on top of other dies can damage the blades at the bottom of the stack.

This is the CORRECT way to store AccuQuilt dies.

Isn’t she a beauty!

AccuQuilt dies last the longest when placed like books on a bookshelf. Stand them up on their edges. As for the AccuQuilt cutting mats, it is best to store them laying flat to avoid any warping.

Why not post the cost? That is a factor for most of us.

    1. Sara says:

We are not able to post prices. AccuQuilt has full retail prices on their website if you click here. http://shrsl.com/1htxx You are welcome to call our store or your nearest Horn of American retailer in your area.

    What about Studio Dies?

    1. Sara says:

It is safe to say that Studio dies and AccuQuilt dies are made the same but made to fit the two different cutting systems. I would recommend storing them vertical as well. (We will double check.)

  3. Rickie Long says:

Studio dies are made of wood and the larger ones are very heavy! They are too tall to be stored vertically in any of my book cases. Any update on storage ideas for the studio dies?

    1. Sara says:

You are right. The heavier dies will need some different kind of storage solutions.
