Take two fat quarters, fusible fleece, a little machine quilting and wha-la, instant placemats!
Truth – I have never been excited about making place mats. I have never had a need for any fancy ones nor have I wanted to spend that much time making them and then sewing on the binding by hand or by machine. I would rather use my time sewing something else.
Until…I tried this simple mitering technique and used them to create these fabulously QUICK place mats. (The fruit and veggie prints also made this project extra fun)!
