Join us in welcoming the new Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q. Designed to offer sewers a wide range of sewing and quilting features, the Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q is full of creative possibilities.

This sewing only machine (no embroidery) is perfect for the sewer who loves the Husqvarna Viking brand, Husqvarna Viking accessories and everything quality Husqvarna Viking stands for.

If you already own a Husqvarna Viking sewing and embroidery combo machine, the Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q can be used for sewing while the embroidery machine is running.

The Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q has over 460 utility and decorative stitches along with three American style built-in sewn alphabets.

The interactive color touch screen offers stitch selection and stitch adjustments to be seen in actual size. No more guessing is a stitch is adjusted correctly. The stitch shown on the screen is the size it will stitch.

Decorative stitches range from 7mm wide to 54mm wide. With over 460 built-in decorative stitches this machine has an amazing range of creativity options.

Yes, this sewing machine even sews sideways. 8-Way Sideways motion stitches offer larger than life decorative stitches as well as patching capabilities without having to un-sew the seam in a pant leg. For those that must use their machines for utility work, these stitches alone are a great time saver.

The Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q comes standard with both a 1/4″ patchwork piecing foot and a censored straight stitch throat plate. Attach the censored straight stitch throat plate and the machine knows to limit the stitch width to avoid any worry of accidentally breaking a needle. Use the censored straight stitch throat plate with the 1/4″ foot for more precision looking straight stitches and again never breaking a needle on the 1/4″ foot.

Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75Q sewing machine stitches out three beautiful lettering fonts. Stitch quilt labels, kids names and even stitch on paper with both upper and lower case letters.

  1. Sarah says:

Does the Brillance 75Q have an automatic needle threader?

  2. Susan Mathes says:

Does it have the tacking stitch (for pinning) like the sapphire 930?

    1. Sara says:

Yes! The Husqvarna Viking Brilliance 75 will have all the stitches the Sapphire sewing machine has plus a ton more!

  3. Roger says:

I just traded for this machine but sadly there is practically no information out on it yet. A search on YouTube reveals Husqvarna short video clips with everything else being the Brilliance 80 embroidery machine or the top end Epic machines. Having played around with a display model the 75Q has only a few less features and slightly less stitches than the Epic 980. With the biggest difference being price, about $7,000 difference if I remember correctly. Going from the Opal 650 to the Brilliance 75Q is huge jump in capability, especially for a hobby sewer like me. I’ll be interested to see what others think of this machine as more people buy it.

    1. Sara says:

Hi, We highly recommend working with your Husqvarna Viking store where you purchased this machine from for all your education and service. Classes and education to help you bond with your new machine is what the store is there to help with. You are right that this machine features many of the sewing features of the Viking Epic. We would recommend watching videos #1 – #53 to help you become more familiar with the Viking Brilliance 75Q.

  4. Barbara says:

I wish that I had someone closer to my town for the classes I bought this is Las Vegas and it is a 112 mile round trip for the classes but I am going to do it so that I can learn all about my new machine just wish that we had someone closer to Bullhead city AZ

    1. Sara says:

Hi Barbara, You can use the videos we have made for the Viking Designer Epic. There are similar features between these two machines.

  5. Cyndy says:

I have a Sapphire 960. What does this machine have that mine doesn’t? I live in the sticks, and there is no dealer anywhere near me, for me to check it out.

    1. Sara says:

Hi Cyndy, It has a few more things than your Sapphire 960. If you are looking to upgrade may we recommend looking at the Viking EPIC 980Q. It would have enough upgrades to justify the new machine from the Sapphire you already own.

  6. Connie says:

I am seeking information on how to use the USB port on my 75Q. What are its capabilities? Can you download additional fonts? Etc. I cannot find ANY supporting information about this feature!

    1. Sara says:

At this time the USB port is just for updates. If there are future stitch additions you will be able to add them via a USB Stick.

  7. Lynda Eastabrook says:

I recently purchased the Husqvarna Brilliance 75Q but also do not live near a store that carries them. I had one ordered in for me a little over an hour away from where I live. They were able to get me started with the basics but we couldn’t find much information about 4 way and 8 way stitches. Main reason I purchased it. The store owner contacted Husqvarna asking the question and I did as well… neither of us got the help we asked for. The store didn’t get a return call. Love the machine, but sadly it doesn’t seem to be capable of doing what I had purchased it for, regarding 4 way and 8 way… seems that is just for darning type stitching. I had hoped to quilt sideways using larger stitches than darning. On a good note I love the quilting stitch. Just wish I could sew sideways a bit as well.

    1. Nancy says:

I would like to see some reviews on this machine

      1. Sara says:

Hi Nancy, If you are looking for reviews on this Viking Brilliance 75Q, we would recommend getting into the Husqvarna Viking Facebook group and ask for reviews from people who own this machine. Here is a link to the group.

  8. Carol Sexton says:

I have the opal 690q, is there enough of a jump up to the 75q to make a difference?

    1. Sara says:

      Hi Carol,

This is hard to say…it depends on what you use your machine for. If you are wanting more space 10″ instead of 8″, yes upgrade. If you want more decorative stitches and wider decorative stitches, yes upgrade. If you want side-ways stitches, yes upgrade. These two machines are similar but different.

  9. Cindy says:

Will you be doing any videos on the Brilliance 75Q? I just bought this machine. I !earned to sew on a Viking 6030 (which my mom bought in 1972) and have only sewn on that machine, so the upgrade is a be one for me. The store where I bought it does offer help in learning it, but right now we are under a ‘Stay home, stay safe’ order because of Covid-19. Plus I am sure videos would be very helpful in the future.

    1. Sara says:

      Hi Cindy,

It is on the list but not right away. Please use the videos for the Viking Topaz 50 to help you today.
