One reason I think I have the perfect job is because any time I want to sew something, I just turn it into a class or a lecture!

For each Sewtopia Sewing Club I come up with a sewing project or technique I want to learn or complete. By offering it as a class, it helps me get my samples completed in time for the Sewtopia Sewing Club lecture. And second, I usually get to make a couple different versions or color ways as stage samples to show a variety of techniques.

Here is a sneak peek of what I am making for the upcoming Sewtopia Sewing Club. It is the start of the awesome Dresden Neighborhood Quilt I have had on my bucket list since the day I downloaded the pattern. This is why I love my job! This is the month I have set aside to get this project completed. It’s like a little rainbow of joy to look forward to knowing that this is the month I get to work on this project. And with a deadline looming I must get it done. That’s my secret!
What is the AccuQuilt die you see in the picture? Thank you for asking. I had a AccuQuilt make me a custom die to cut the pieces for this quilt block.
